Oral History of the Arboretum Now Online
With funding from the Arboretum Foundation and other donors, the Miller Library has created a new oral history of the Arboretum and Center for Urban Horticulture. It features interviews with numerous people who’ve had long-term associations with the Arboretum and/or CUH, including John Wott, Jean Witt, Art Kruckeberg, and Elizabeth Moses. Carrie Bowman at the Miller Library supervised the project; Shelly Leavens, a teacher in the UW Museum Studies program, conducted the research and interviews over a period of 10 months. To read more about the project, see Carrie’s article in the fall issue of the Bulletin. The interviews will be ready for full public access in January. In the meantime, you can also listen to a selection of clips from the interviews online.
