The Plant Donations Nursery raises important funds for Washington Park Arboretum by selling plants donated by area gardeners.

Donations Nursery Now Accepting Plants

The Plant Donations Nursery opened for pre-season prep-work last week. Starting tomorrow (Wednesday, March 14), nursery volunteers will be ready—and very happy—to receive your donated plants. The best time to donate is when the volunteers are present:  Wednesdays, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., plus the second Saturday of each month, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

With our Early Bloomers Plant Sale just a month away (Saturday, April 14), the nursery is especially interested in receiving spring-blooming plants such as Anemone nemorosa, Anemone blanda, pasque flower (Anemone patens), primulas, campanulas, hepaticas, Corydalis, columbines, and Omphaloides. When dropping off plants, please remember to include the name and flower color of each donated specimen, if known.

The nursery will open for its 2012 sales season on Wednesday, April 4.
