If you garden in the Pacific Northwest, you’re most likely familiar with the Anna’s Hummingbird. In recent decades, the species has expanded its original range in Mexico and western California all the way north along the Pacific Coast to B.C.

In the latest issue of the Arboretum Bulletin, naturalist Woody Wheeler writes about the range expansion and some of the interesting behavioral traits of this relatively new resident.
