We’re happy to share that volunteer recruitment at the Arboretum Foundation is open for the 2026 season.
Over the past few weeks, we paused recruitment in order to set up a new volunteer management software system and online portal (MyImpact, powered by Better Impact). This update helps us better support our volunteers, stay connected, and keep up with growing interest across our programs.
As part of the update, all new volunteers will be asked to create a new account in our system. The process is simple and should only take a few minutes.
Once you’re set up, you’ll be able to explore current opportunities, apply to programs, and manage your volunteer involvement all in one place. (Thanks to our existing volunteers for helping us test the new system and iron out the kinks!)
Volunteer opportunities are posted, and we invite you to take a look, see what sparks your interest, and sign up. They include programs such as Garden Stewards, Event Volunteers, and Plant Program Volunteers. Whether you’re returning to the Arboretum or joining us for the first time, we’re glad you’re here. We look forward to growing together this season.
Thank you for your patience during this transition and for being part of our volunteer community.
Alicia Hamilton is the Volunteer Programs manager at the Arboretum Foundation.
