Arboretum@90 Celebrations

A Year of Birthday Fun

Ninety years ago this year, Washington Park Arboretum was founded by a group of forward-thinking civic leaders who envisioned a glorious natural space in the heart of Seattle. Over the next nine decades, the plant collections and gardens were developed, and the Arboretum blossomed into the city’s most beloved park. (History of the Arb.)

This year, we celebrate the early visionaries; the ongoing work of the Arboretum partners at the Foundation, City of Seattle, and the University of Washington; and the generous support of our donors, members, and volunteers, without whom the Arboretum would not be possible.

Join us as we mark this milestone with a series of special events and programs.
