Wednesday, August 19 — Stephanie Anne Johnson
Pacific Northwest Americana songwriter and performer Stephanie Anne Johnson’s (they/them) voice is like a prayer. It’s the kind of sound that makes you feel renewed, refreshed, and in love with the higher spirits of the planet. It’s a sound you can bask in, that can wash over you, and regenerate the best of you all at once. And they have wowed judges on the immensely popular NBC TV series, The Voice, showcasing their gifts.
Stephanie Anne Johnson has opened for acts that include political figure Bernie Sanders, and artists such as The Indigo Girls, Macy Gray, Mavis Staples, Taj Mahal, Robert Cray, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Steve Earle, Cedric Burnside, and Mason Jennings among many others. Their new studio album, Sing, baby!. was released in fall 2025.
Thursday, August 13 — Jovino Santos Neto Quintet
This performance has already taken place!
Formed in 1993, the Latin Grammy-nominated Jovino Santos Neto Quintet has become one of the most important creative music ensembles of the West Coast. Performing Jovino’s original arrangements and compositions, its members excel in near-telepathic musical interactions, modern harmonic journeys, deep lyricism and high energy Brazilian grooves that never fail to excite audiences.
Voted several times as Best Acoustic Jazz Ensemble of the year by readers of Earshot Jazz Magazine. With Darian Asplund on saxophones, Moe Weisner on bass, Mark Ivester on drums and Jeff Busch on percussion, plus Jovino on piano, flute and melodica. (Photo courtesy Rhonda Stewart)
