People Need Plant Time!

Dear Friend of the Arboretum,

When you walk the winding trails at the Arboretum, what do you feel?

Curiosity? Joy? Wonder?

Now more than ever, people need “plant time”—frequent encounters with trees, flowers, wildlife, and fresh air to support their physical and mental well-being.

The Arboretum is more than a city park; it is a world-class collection of plants lovingly cared for by horticulturists and arborists. Individual members and donors make it possible for more than 750,000 visitors a year to explore, learn, and feel restored here at no charge. Without this funding, the Arboretum as you know it would not exist.

Our foundation is here to protect what matters most to our visitors, and to meet the desires of our community for a more diverse and accessible Arboretum. With your financial support, we can promote a sense of belonging and inclusion. We can build a stronger collaboration with, and recognition of, the Coast Salish peoples. And we can improve facilities, access, amenities, and social programming.
